Peace Education Resources

What is peace education? Peace education is the study of peace. It's also education for peace--education that can bring about change within ourselves, our communities, and our world.

This extensive guide to online resources is for anyone interested in learning about peace and conflict at the interpersonal, community, and global levels. Some of the listed websites describe philosophical perspectives on peace. Others provide educational models and curricula for teaching peace and nonviolence to youth and adults, or emphasize strategies and techniques for nonviolent action. Still others focus on the causes and consequences of global conflict.

The sections below are not exhaustive, but will point you to new tools and information. A list of college and university programs in peace-related studies can be found at the end. We hope these resources will either get you started or help you continue in your work to build a better world.
