Peace Center Board Members Speak to Greater Richmond TICN
Peace Center Board Members James Adam Boyle and Jennifer Garvin-Sanchez spoke August 9th to the monthly virtual gathering of the Greater Richmond (VA) Trauma-Informed Community Network (TICN) about RPEC's work, especially our Healing and Restoring our Community (HROC) workshops. Jennifer and James shared a snapshot of the HROC workshop content and background on the development of the training based on methods used in Rwanda and Burundi as a means toward settling conflicts between families who were victims of war.
The Greater Richmond TICN is a diverse group of professionals from a cross-sector of organizations and government agencies and community members who are dedicated to supporting and advocating for continuous trauma-informed care for all children and families in the City of Richmond and surrounding counties.
Our gratitude to the Greater Richmond TICN for inviting the Peace Center to share about our work.
