Mr. Colonel Pratt is Executive Director of the Richmond Peace Education Center. He is an anti-racism advocate with training in mediation, negotiation, facilitation, & coaching. He is passionate about being a Good Ancestor who plants seeds of peace by learning & sharing ways in which conflict can be transformed into opportunities for collaboration. Learning new things & connecting with people from all walks of life are the things that energize him the most. Colonel thrives with the support of his wife of 21 years & the inspiration of his 17-year-old daughter &
19-year-old son.
 
Colonel holds a B.S. in Bible from Ohio Valley University & holds an M.S. in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from George Mason University’s Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter School for Peace & Conflict Resolution. He was also an inaugural fellow of the Habitus & CBI Fellowship in Negotiation, Mediation, & Conflict Resolution. In addition to listening to music & reading the latest news, he enjoys playing board games with his wife.

Seema Sked is the Executive Director Assistant.

She is a Muslim immigrant from Pakistan, who’s lived in Richmond nearly her whole life. She is local activist & community organizer, focused on uplifting the Muslim immigrant community, as well as other marginalized communities.

She began a grassroots program to fight back against the Muslim & African Bans, & that struggle continues today.

She previously worked for the Peace Center as an Advocacy Coordinator, when she coordinated a teach-in/rally centered around immigrant justice. In her new role, she brings over 25 years of administrative experience, as well as her local community organizing experience with her. She’s worked for a number of non-profit organizations in the past.

She participated in numerous conflict resolution & trauma healing workshops provided by the Peace Center (including HROC - Healing Trauma & Rebuilding Communities), before even working here ! She was also a fellow in the Community Trust Building Fellowship in Initiatives of Change, holds multiple business degrees, with concentration in psychology, & pastry/chocolate certifications.

She & her husband have been married for 23 years & they have a wonderfully spoiled senior, special needs, rescue kitty named Cocoa Cannoli !
