We live in a nation of many cultures, religions, ethnic groups and
skin colors. How can we build respect and understanding among Americans of so many different backgrounds? What can we
do when there are divisions between groups? Think about what
you can do individually. And think about what we can do as a
community and a country.

Eyes Wide Open-Virginia Project
A display of combat boots and civilian shoes in silent commemoration of the lives lost in Iraq. These posters documenting the cost of the war in Iraq are part of the Eyes Wide Open-Virginia exhibit that RPEC co-coordinates statewide with Midlothian Friends Meeting and Richmond Friends Meeting.

We pursue our mission by providing schools, religious institutions, local governments, community groups, businesses, and individuals in the Richmond area with
- A wide range of training and educational programs promoting non-violent conflict resolution educational resources for teachers, students, and others on topics related to justice, peacemaking, and nonviolence.
- A bi-monthly newsletter providing articles of local interest related to nonviolence and peace.
We have been engaged in this work since 1980. Join us as we seek to lower the levels of violence in our community and to create a more peaceful world.
